Workforce Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Workforce Analyst to join our team at Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. The successful candidate will provide research, analytical, and data analysis support for provincial Health Human Resource (HHR) planning activities.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research and data analysis to develop service utilization workforce models, analyzing current and projected healthcare service utilization to predict workforce needs.
- Support the development of workforce models through data mining, analysis, and reporting.
- Develop, track, and report provincial and regional workforce metrics to support decision making.
- Conduct research and analysis to develop position papers in support of health human resource planning initiatives.
- 3 years of experience in information analysis and reporting, dashboard development, data management, and the promotion of data quality and integrity.
- 3 years of experience working with large or complex data sets, preferably health administrative, clinical, or financial data systems.
- 3 years of experience in leading projects, conducting research, developing options, and formulating recommendations.
- 2 years of experience in quantitative analysis involving modeling, forecasting, and data visualization.
- Post-secondary degree in a quantitative discipline, including economics, statistics, epidemiology, computer science, mathematics, or business administration.
- Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools, such as Power BI, Cognos, or Tableau.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience performing data retrieval and transformation, including SQL.
- Proficiency in statistical software packages, such as SAS, SPSS, or R.
- Must be able to work safely in a typical computerized office environment with frequent meetings.
- Interruptions to respond to questions are common; incumbent can schedule dedicated and focused time for planning and concentration.
