Role Overview

Mandatory Qualifications

  • 4-6 years of experience in an application support capacity.
  • Proficient in installing, configuring, or supporting business applications.
  • Familiarity with programming languages and a willingness to learn.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changes and reprioritize tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of simplifying technical issues for non-technical staff.
  • Proven analytical abilities.
  • Experience with issue tracking and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of problem management tools.
  • Effective communication with relevant stakeholders.
  • Experience with Hadoop/Big Data platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Cloudera distribution components such as HDFS, Hive, Impala, Spark, YARN, Sentry, Oozie, and Kafka.
  • Expertise in performance tuning and resource optimization within clusters.
  • Experience in daily performance monitoring and implementing best practices.
  • Hands-on experience supporting applications built on Hadoop.
  • Proficient in Linux.
  • 4-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong SQL skills in various RDBMS, focusing on Sybase, Oracle, or MSSQL.
  • Familiarity with scheduling and monitoring tools such as Autosys or CONTROL-M.
  • Knowledge of ITRS Active Console or similar monitoring tools.
  • Experience with PowerShell, UNIX shell scripting, Python, or Java is advantageous.
