Role Overview
NAB champions the interests of radio and television in legislative, regulatory, and public affairs. Through advocacy, education, and innovation, NAB empowers broadcasters to effectively serve their communities, fortify their businesses, and seize new opportunities in the digital landscape.

NAB is in search of a seasoned and dynamic Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to spearhead the marketing initiatives for our premier trade shows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Marketing Leadership
    Formulate and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy (digital-first, data-driven) aimed at increasing revenue through enhanced participation from attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, and media.
  • Content Strategy
    Devise and implement a content marketing strategy for distribution across various channels, including the website, social media, and other digital platforms such as podcasts and videos.
  • Traffic and Engagement
    Develop strategic and tactical marketing plans to support traffic and engagement objectives for the organization's web properties.
  • Lead Generation
    Collaborate with the Chief Customer Success Officer to create a lead generation plan, identify sponsorship opportunities through digital assets, and develop tailored proposals for top-tier clients.

Brand Management
Oversee the creation and execution of a unified brand strategy to enhance the event's reputation and facilitate growth into new markets. Ensure brand consistency across all channels, programs, and partnerships.

Market Analysis
Conduct thorough market analysis to uncover new audiences and growth opportunities. Utilize data-driven insights to refine marketing efforts and enhance return on investment (ROI). Lead the interpretation and communication of all survey research and data.

Team Development
Identify hiring and training needs within the Marketing department to ensure the skillsets align with the organization's growth objectives. Mentor and lead a high-performing marketing team.

Budget Management
Create, manage, and monitor marketing budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost-effective marketing initiatives. Evaluate the performance of marketing and communications vendors engaged for NAB events and programs.

Qualifications
A four-year degree and over 15 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of five years leading a digital marketing team. Strong strategic thinking capabilities and the ability to develop long-term marketing plans. Proven analytical skills with the ability to assess quantitative and qualitative data, draw conclusions, and formulate actionable recommendations. Capacity to thrive in high-pressure situations, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines. Familiarity with Salesforce and Salesforce Cloud Marketing products is advantageous.
