About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Chuck's Roadhouse Bar & Grill - Welland. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food quality meets the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
    • Hire, train, and develop food service staff to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Food Quality and Safety
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and maintain accurate records.
    • Ensure that all food handling and preparation procedures meet health and safety regulations.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Ensure that all customer interactions are positive and that our customers feel valued and appreciated.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Prepare and submit reports on food service operations, including sales, inventory, and labor costs.
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
    • Prepare and submit budgets and cost estimates for food service operations.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Skills
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
    • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
    • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will be expected to maintain a high level of physical stamina. The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
