Merchandising Coordinator Job Description

At London Drugs, we're seeking a highly skilled Merchandising Coordinator to join our team in British Columbia. As a key member of our Merchandising Department, you'll play a crucial role in the lifecycle of our products, from coordination and support to pricing, ad proofing, inventory management, and purchase orders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to product category buyers and business units, including new item listings, pricing, ad proofing, inventory management, space planning, and purchase orders as needed.
  • Facilitate and resolve issues and challenges reported by stores and internal departments.
Requirements:
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to adapt easily to change.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Sound judgment and ability to effectively problem solve as required.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
  • Highly organized and able to multitask effectively and work under changing priorities.
Education and Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year of outstanding Merchandising Support experience.
  • Solid knowledge of Supply Chain, Point of Sale, and AS400.
  • Experience with distributions, new item setup, EDI, Branch Catalogue, and Scanned Based Trading.
  • Solid understanding of product categories, product hierarchies, and data structure.
  • Basic pricing and promotion skills.
