Land Management Specialist

Park Paving Ltd. has been a cornerstone of the road construction industry in Edmonton for nearly five decades. Renowned for our commitment to quality and excellence, we are currently seeking a qualified Lands Coordinator to enhance our operations.

This is a full-time, permanent role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Environmental Management Oversight: Conduct thorough inspections and monitoring to ensure adherence to environmental best practices and regulatory standards across company facilities.
  • Data Collection and Environmental Monitoring: Gather essential environmental data and samples as mandated by regulatory requirements at remote gravel extraction sites.
  • Inventory and Drone Operations: Assist in managing inventory, including executing monthly drone flights and data modeling, which are critical for operational efficiency.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Oversee authorizations for all facilities to guarantee compliance with environmental regulations and support the acquisition of necessary permits.
  • Aggregate Resource Identification: Engage in identifying potential aggregate reserves through field assessments and testing procedures.
  • Operational Assistance: Provide essential support for mining operations and the reclamation processes of gravel sites.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in environmental science, agrology, biology, forestry, or a related field.
  • Registered or eligible for registration with a relevant professional association in Alberta.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in environmental permitting, monitoring, and compliance.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of federal, provincial, and municipal environmental regulations pertinent to sand and gravel operations.
  • Possession or willingness to obtain a Drone Pilot Certificate for Advanced Operations.
  • Experience in the sand and gravel mining sector is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with GIS software is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently in remote locations with minimal supervision.
