BAS Controls Technician

Modern Niagara is on the lookout for a meticulous and organized Controls Technician to become a vital part of our Vancouver controls team. In the role of a Building Automation Systems (BAS) Controls Technician, you will engage in a range of responsibilities including network initiation, hardware verification, software implementation, and project completion. Your duties will also encompass diagnosing and commissioning newly installed Building Automation Systems, maintaining precise documentation, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Furthermore, you will perform on-site tasks to confirm controller power, calibrate field instruments, and integrate various third-party devices into BAS networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Initiate and commission networks, validate hardware, and implement software
- Diagnose and commission newly installed Building Automation Systems
- Conduct on-site network initiation and commissioning
- Perform on-site hardware commissioning
- Execute on-site software and system commissioning
Required Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in BAS initiation and commissioning
- Familiarity with mechanical and electrical control systems
- Knowledge of BAS platforms such as Delta, Johnson Controls, Siemens, etc.
- Niagara certification is highly preferred
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and travel frequently
