Electronic Instrument Control Technician

Job Summary
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking an Electronic Instrument Control Technician with HVAC experience to join the Plant Maintenance team at Vancouver General Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform skilled work in the installation, alteration, troubleshooting, maintenance, service, and repair of electronic equipment and systems.
- Interpret prepared sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, manuals, and manufacturer's specifications.
- Understand and operate computer software for electronic equipment/systems, and building automation systems (BAS).
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Graduate of a recognized diploma program in Electronic Technology.
- Three (3) years' recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Knowledge & Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
