Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Operations Supervisor to join our team at WasteHaul Transport Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the daily activities of our transportation department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinating Activities: Collaborate with other work units and departments to ensure seamless operations and efficient use of resources.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Arrange for maintenance and repair work to ensure our fleet is in good working condition.
  • Problem-Solving and Technical Advice: Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Work Scheduling and Procedures: Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize downtime.
  • Operational Logistics: Plan, organize, and oversee the operational logistics of our organization.
  • Supervision: Supervise a team of 3-4 people, including dispatchers, radio operators, and transportation route and crew schedulers.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Utilize MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Windows to perform tasks and maintain records.
  • Transportation and Travel: Possess a valid driver's license and own a vehicle for business use.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Demonstrate excellent written communication skills, flexibility, organization, and reliability.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
Work Environment

This is a permanent position with 40 hours of work per week. The work language is English.
