We will equip you with the necessary tools, training, and support to successfully achieve the Damage Insurance Certificate from l'Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) and the Other than Life (OTL) insurance license for Ontario and other provinces.

As a Licensed Insurance Consultant for Home & Auto at RBC, you will serve as a reliable source of insurance guidance, helping clients navigate their options to protect what matters most. Your empathetic and approachable demeanor will enable you to provide clear and straightforward insurance advice. Each interaction will showcase your curiosity, attentiveness, and problem-solving skills, ensuring an outstanding client experience. You will also play a vital role in achieving both individual and team sales objectives by proactively suggesting tailored home and auto insurance solutions to both new and existing clients, while also connecting them with your colleagues within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Deliver personalized insurance advice and solutions to clients based on their specific needs through incoming calls.
  2. Ensure a consistently positive client experience with every interaction, addressing client concerns promptly and effectively, while fostering relationships through meaningful conversations.
  3. Conduct detailed needs assessments and reviews utilizing various tools and resources to illustrate value and support your recommendations.
  4. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of regulatory risks associated with underwriting and updating home & auto insurance policies.
  5. Utilize established procedures seamlessly during client interactions.
  6. Build and sustain relationships with partners to function cohesively as one RBC team.

Qualifications for Success

Essential Requirements

  1. A commitment to obtaining the Quebec Damage Insurance certificate from l'Autorité des marchés financiers and the General Insurance License for Ontario Other Than Life and other provinces.
  2. Bilingual proficiency in English and French is required, as you will frequently assist clients with diverse language needs.
  3. Outstanding customer service abilities with a talent for establishing strong connections with clients.
  4. Flexibility to work various shifts within operational hours, as the Home & Auto Advice Centre operates Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 8:30pm.
  5. Proficiency in digital tools across a variety of devices (e.g., smartphones, tablets, laptops).

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Possession of the Quebec Damage Insurance certificate from l'Autorité des marchés financiers.
  2. Post-secondary education.
  3. Familiarity with insurance products.
  4. Experience in customer service and/or sales within a contact center setting.
