Position Overview
The Operations Business Intelligence Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the Manager of Operations Coordination by delivering insightful business intelligence services to both internal and external stakeholders. This position is vital for driving corporate strategies and initiatives. The specialist also offers technical assistance to the Executive Management Group, the Special Assistant to the Vice-President, and national service line directors by determining business needs, developing methodologies for data analysis, and creating visual tools such as dashboards and reports.

Key Responsibilities
Primary Duties

• Assist the Manager of Operations Coordination in promoting corporate strategies and initiatives.

• Identify business intelligence needs and establish effective data modeling to generate analytical and visualization tools (e.g., dashboards and reports).

• Comprehend automated data sources and technologies, including EnterpriseOne, Adaptive Insights, and the Defence Resource Management Information System, to gather relevant data for analysis and visualization.

• Analyze results from completed assessments and ensure data accuracy.

• Validate data with DCC, Client-Partners, and industry stakeholders.

• Provide strategic advice and recommendations to the Executive Management Group, national directors, and the Special Assistant to the Vice-President.

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships within DCC and with industry partners and stakeholders.

• Ensure adherence to quality standards in line with corporate expectations.

• Manage potential risks effectively.

Additional Responsibilities

• Develop process maps and policies for stakeholders.

• Undertake other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

Knowledge and Expertise

• Familiarity with best practices, methodologies, and trends in DCC business operations and service lines.

• Understanding of project management principles.

Education and Experience

Minimum: A university degree in engineering, data sciences, computer science, business, mathematics, statistics, management, accounting, or a related field, with at least six years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred: The above qualifications along with expertise in infrastructure.

Abilities

• Proficient in applicable software and operating systems.

• Capable of applying project management techniques.

Development and Leadership

• Provide guidance and advice to stakeholders, managers, and senior management.

Working Environment

• Standard office setting with occasional travel requirements.
