Job Title: Business Intelligence Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Developer to join our team at the Royal Ottawa Health Care Group. As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing data models, reports, and analytics solutions to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop data models, reports, and analytics solutions using SQL Server and Microsoft reporting tools.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs.
  • Develop and maintain data dictionaries, data maps, and other artifacts to ensure data integrity and performance.
  • Contribute to the development of data analytics and reporting solutions, including database design and ETL processes.
  • Ensure reports and analytics solutions are optimized for efficiency and performance in the production environment.
  • Collaborate with data team members and partners to ensure internal control and integrity of systems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience with SQL Server, Business Intelligence, reporting, and data modeling.
  • Expert working knowledge of relational databases, data model development, data warehousing, and business intelligence.
  • Expert experience in generating custom reports using SQL Server and Microsoft reporting tools.
  • Azure Data Factory; demonstrated experience in responding to and troubleshooting issues related to data quality and performance.
  • Strong and effective communication skills to engage with all stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
