JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a seasoned consultant to spearhead public engagement efforts in relation to planning and energy infrastructure initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in crafting comprehensive engagement and communication strategies that encompass relationship management, consultation, and issue resolution. Success in this role requires the ability to excel in a collaborative setting where both relationships and outcomes are paramount. If you are passionate about delving into complex subjects while facilitating strategic thinking, this opportunity may align with your career aspirations.

Some travel may be necessary.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:


• Deliver strategic and confidential consultation and guidance across various functions, offering innovative solutions to enhance organizational management and daily operations.

• Lead and engage in projects that identify current and future business requirements, industry best practices, and organizational challenges; provide actionable recommendations and implement operational enhancements to processes and systems that influence SaskPower's workforce and operations.

• Facilitate and contribute to cross-departmental teams, strategic planning sessions, workshops, and meetings to devise creative and effective business solutions.

• Create, organize, and present reports, presentations, and briefings for both internal and external stakeholders.

• Drive and enable change, ensuring successful implementation of strategic initiatives throughout the organization.

• Cultivate and sustain strategic networks and professional relationships both within and outside of SaskPower to promote a positive and productive work culture.

• Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, corporate programs, and/or assigned personnel as needed.

• Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:


• A degree in Resource/Environmental Management, Community/Regional Planning, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field AND/OR;

• Relevant professional designations and/or certifications; IAP2 training is considered an asset AND/OR;

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in community engagement, stakeholder relations, and program implementation.

• Proven ability to lead teams and build strategic relationships both internally and externally.

• Results-driven mindset, capable of managing and advising on complex and sensitive issues with professionalism and discretion.

• Proficient in influencing and holding others accountable.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

• Adaptable to managing in a dynamic environment.

• Strong interpersonal, facilitation, project management, and decision-making abilities.

• Commitment to fostering a culture of safety, innovation, and teamwork.

• Demonstrated expertise in SaskPower's core competencies.

• A continuous record of professional development is essential.

A suitable combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
