About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Big Way Hot Pot Burnaby. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our restaurant, including supervising and coordinating the activities of our food preparation staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Food Preparation Staff: Oversee the activities of our food preparation staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Provide training and guidance to our staff on job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and quality control standards.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate and manage inventory levels to ensure that we have sufficient ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all food and service meet our high quality control standards.
  • Customer Service: Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports to management.
  • Scheduling: Establish and manage work schedules to ensure that our restaurant is adequately staffed at all times.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment.
  • Physical Demands: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, standing for extended periods, and attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, team player, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
