As a key member of our Great Canadian Entertainment team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our food and beverage services. This includes ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed, motivating and leading by example, and providing a learning environment for all team members and guests. You will also be responsible for delivering performance reviews for direct reports and actively participating in the recruitment and hiring process.

Key Accountabilities
  • Oversee the front of house F&B operations on a shift basis, ensuring that all team members are properly trained and equipped to provide exceptional service to our guests.
  • Schedule and supervise team members, verifying time and attendance and ensuring that all shift work assignments are covered.
  • Complete shift reports for management and for the next shift, tracking quality and guest issues and reporting to management as necessary.
  • Assist with the screening and selection of new hires, organizing and tracking training progress.
  • Assess guest alcohol consumption to determine removal or restriction decisions and deliver messages to guests as needed.
  • Order front of house supplies as required, participating in monthly inventory counts as necessary.
  • Perform front-line F&B duties as required, including Coffee Cart Server, Bartender, and Expediter.
  • Offer F&B expertise to internal and external customers, providing exceptional service and ensuring that all guests have a positive experience.
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with all operational departments and team members, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged.
  • Develop and cultivate strong working relationships with all stakeholders, including guests, management, team members, and vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements.

Education and Qualifications
  • High School diploma; Post-Secondary education in hospitality or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
  • 2 years of Food and Beverage experience.
  • 1 year of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
  • POS experience.
  • Serving it Right Certification.
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License.
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective, and service-oriented communication.
  • Computer literacy in MS Office.

Work Environment Considerations
  • Regular office, restaurant, or casino environment, standing or walking for long periods of time, non-traditional work hours.
