Food and Beverage Operations Manager

Job Summary
This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the front of house Food & Beverage operations at a multi-venue location. The successful candidate will ensure adherence to all policies and procedures, motivate and lead by example, and provide a learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members and guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the front of house F&B operations on a shift basis of a multi-venue location; assist with the development of performance objectives and deliver performance reviews for direct reports as necessary
- Schedule and supervise team members; verify time and attendance; assign shift work assignments; ensure appropriate coverage while minimizing operating costs
- Complete shift reports for management and for the next shift; track quality and guest issues and report to management
- Assist with the screening and selection of new hires; organize and track training progress
- Assess guest alcohol consumption to determine removal or restriction decisions and deliver message to guest
- Order front of house supplies as required; may participate in monthly inventory count
- Perform front line F&B duties as required (Coffee Cart Server, Bartender, Expediter)
- Offer F&B expertise to internal and external customers
- Liaise and communicate effectively with all appropriate operational departments and team members
- Develop and cultivate strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, management, team members and vendors
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Manage other initiatives as required
Requirements
- High School diploma; Post Secondary education in hospitality or suitable combination of education and experience
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends
- 2 years Food & Beverage experience
- 1 year experience in a lead or supervisory role
- POS experience
- Serving it Right Certification
- Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
- Computer literacy in MS Office
Work Environment
- Regular office, restaurant or casino environment, standing or walking for long periods of time, non-traditional work hours
