Job Summary

The Business Support Services Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office. Reporting to the Supervisor, Business Support Services, this position is responsible for managing the effective delivery of incoming and outgoing mail and courier services. The successful candidate will maintain adequate supplies and equipment, resolve requests related to assigned work areas, and provide high-quality customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage mail and courier services to ensure timely and efficient delivery
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to mail and courier services
  • Provide general clerical support to the Business Support Services Team
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in mail and courier services and implement new procedures as needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma and post-secondary courses in office or business administration
  • Working related experience in a comparable work environment, including front-of-office experience
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience acceptable to the employer
  • Strong knowledge of mail and courier systems, basic accounting principles, and database systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively independently and in a team
  • Ability to lift over 30 lbs and be mobile throughout a shift
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and adapt to changes in the work environment
