Position Overview

We are currently seeking an Intermediate Environmental Engineering Project Manager with expertise in contaminated site management and remediation. This role is integral to our Contaminated Assessment and Remediation Team. Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage a diverse portfolio of projects and client relationships.
  2. Drive business development initiatives with both new and existing clients.
  3. Oversee technical operations, including contaminated site investigations and hazardous material assessments.
  4. Supervise and mentor junior and intermediate staff members.
  5. Prepare and issue comprehensive reports while maintaining client communication.
  6. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary project team to execute projects involving site investigations, remediation efforts, and waste management.
  7. Conduct data analysis and evaluation, applying engineering principles to solve problems effectively.
  8. Draft technical documents, including work plans, reports, and project correspondence.
  9. Design technical solutions, including specifications and tender documents.
  10. Develop project support materials, including health and safety plans.
  11. Engage with vendors and contractors for project execution.
  12. Manage contracts and oversee project budgets.
  13. Coordinate fieldwork, including environmental monitoring and contractor oversight.
  14. Research and interpret relevant provincial and federal regulations.
  15. Lead project management meetings and design discussions.
  16. Prepare and submit project proposals.
  17. Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering.
  2. Professional designation with EGBC.
  3. Minimum of 8 years of consulting experience in the environmental sector.
  4. Strong project management capabilities.
  5. Business development oriented, with a focus on expanding the practice.
  6. Familiarity with provincial and federal guidelines for contaminated site assessments.
  7. Experience with regulatory submissions and compliance documentation.
  8. Proven ability to supervise and guide junior staff.
  9. Self-motivated and capable of working independently and collaboratively.
  10. Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  11. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing proficiency.
  12. Valid Class 5 AB Driver's license is required.
