About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Insights Manager to join our team at Aviva. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, actionable insights and analytics to drive business performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build Strong Relationships: Foster a collaborative environment with colleagues and stakeholders to drive business outcomes.
  • Develop Business Intelligence: Craft go-to-market strategies and messaging with distribution partners to inform pricing and product changes.
  • Monitor Financial Performance: Analyze financial results to identify root causes and implement initiatives to drive positive performance.
  • Drive Business Change: Collaborate with internal and external partners to define and drive business intelligence and analytics, leading to insights that drive performance improvement.
  • Lead Data Management: Set data and reporting management design, monitoring, and governance to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Develop Key Projects: Develop, lead, and manage various key projects and assignments as required, including business case development, strategic oversight, and management.
  • Support the Business Insights Team: Provide coaching and mentorship to junior members and help build and maintain analytical skills across the team.
Requirements
  • University Degree: A degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Industrial Experience: 7+ years of experience in BI Analytics or Reporting.
  • Insurance Industry Experience: Experience working in the P+C insurance industry, with an excellent understanding of personal insurance.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to adopt and lead change, be highly adaptable and flexible, decisive, and display excellent judgment.
  • Analytical Skills: Outstanding analytical skills with an unflagging desire to probe, question, validate, and challenge to ensure accurate and relevant performance indicators are being reported and measured.
  • Business Knowledge: Strong business knowledge and technical skills to advise and recommend optimal, relevant, and accurate information to the business for decision-making purposes.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels.
  • Customer Focus: Strong customer focus and collaborator management skills.
  • Change Champion: Able to champion change with the ability and appetite to drive optimization in processes and technology.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
