Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Human Resources to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our Insurance Executive Committee, you will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and leadership on all aspects of Human Resources, including workforce management, organizational design, change management, talent management, leadership development, performance management, diversity, and rewards and recognition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver innovative HR solutions to support the bank's business strategy and people priorities.
  • Lead workforce planning and diversity initiatives, including the Insurance Diversity Council.
  • Provide HR integration support for mergers and acquisitions.
  • Partner with HR initiatives teams and Centres of Expertise to utilize and guide the usage of HR models for managerial and employee support.
  • Lead the annual compensation planning process and manage country-specific compensation programs.
  • Represent the bank as a senior HR leader to industry and regulatory bodies globally.
  • Talent Management - Lead the assessment and strengthening of leadership depth and employee capability through integrated leadership programs and development opportunities.
  • Governance - Ensure the organization meets corporate governance and legal requirements.
  • Change Management - Design and adapt organizational structures to deliver on the bank's business strategy.
Requirements
  • College or University degree or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of Human Resources experience, with 2-4 years in a large, multi-unit company.
  • Experience in multiple HR disciplines, including talent management, compensation, learning and development, and coaching.
  • Leadership accountabilities: Builds a High Performance Culture, Works Strategically, Leads with Integrity, and Drives Shareholder Value.
  • Key capabilities: Strategic Thinking, Impact & Influence, Organizational Design, Consulting & Advising, Data Insight Management, Stakeholder Management, and Partnering.
