About the Role

Maison Pause-Parent is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As a key member of our childcare staff, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Development and Education: Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Assist with Daily Tasks: Assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties, bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, and maintain daycare equipment.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Synthesize the overall situation of the children and communicate the information to parents, and assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Leadership and Creativity: Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest, and encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Health and Safety: Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children, and discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in early childhood education or a related field.
  • Certifications: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
