Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Le Jardin des Champions (JDC). As an integral part of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess children's development and create personalized learning plans.
  • Provide daily care, including bathing, diapering, and feeding infants and toddlers.
  • Develop and implement engaging child-care programs that promote children's growth and well-being.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment, including equipment maintenance and ordering supplies.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress.
  • Collaborate with early childhood educators to implement programs that support children's development.
  • Plan and lead activities that promote children's creativity, physical activity, and social skills.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for meals and rest periods.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral issues and prepare reports for parents and supervisors.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in early childhood education or a related field.
  • College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
