Position Information:

Full-time Support Staff Position Opportunity
Department: Faculty of Business
Hours: 40 hours per week (1) one hour lunch; Mon – Fri (scheduled between 7:300 am – 9:30pm)
Reporting To: Spa Manager, Faculty of Business
Campus Location: Oshawa

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular facility inspections to identify and address general equipment and maintenance issues
  • Maintain program lab surfaces, equipment and furniture
  • Receive, organize and restock program, spa consumables and retail products
  • Assist with maintaining spa welcome area and retail boutique shelves
  • Ensure linens are available for DC Spa lab
  • Coordinate repairs and maintenance of program equipment
  • Monitor CTMG, ESMG and MAST labs during open lab time
  • Maintain logs and documentation
  • Assist with maintaining spa software for inventory client records
  • Conduct laboratory setup, breakdown, and storage of supplies and equipment
  • Provide technical assistance to faculty, staff and students
  • Plan and coordinate movement of equipment and supplies
  • Stay apprised of product knowledge and equipment functional requirements
  • Market and sell services
  • Assist with tours for external stakeholders
  • Resolve guest/faculty/student complaints
  • Track and monitor spa inventory
  • Assist with supply procurement
  • Assist with spa reception duties
  • Maintain equipment and facility
  • Maintain WHMIS labelling requirements
  • Track spa & onsite program linen usage
  • Records and processes orders
  • Assist with student employee activities

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a 2-year diploma in Esthetician Spa Management
  • 1-2 years of operational work experience in a spa environment
  • Up-to-date CPR, First Aid, and WHMIS certifications
  • Exceptional office administration and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of WHMIS, Public Health standards, and Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements
  • Experience with industry equipment, facilities, and inventory control
