Position Overview:

This is a full-time position within the Spa Operations team.
Department: Faculty of Business
Hours: 40 hours per week (including a one-hour lunch break); Monday to Friday (scheduled between 7:30 AM and 9:30 PM)
Reporting To: Spa Manager, Faculty of Business
Campus Location: Oshawa

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections of facilities to identify and resolve general maintenance and equipment issues.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of program lab surfaces, equipment, and furnishings.
  • Manage the receipt, organization, and replenishment of spa consumables and retail merchandise.
  • Assist in maintaining the spa's reception area and retail display shelves.
  • Guarantee the availability of linens for the spa laboratory.
  • Coordinate the repair and upkeep of program equipment.
  • Supervise CTMG, ESMG, and MAST labs during designated open lab hours.
  • Maintain accurate logs and documentation.
  • Support the management of spa software for inventory and client records.
  • Facilitate laboratory setup, breakdown, and proper storage of supplies and equipment.
  • Provide technical support to faculty, staff, and students.
  • Plan and oversee the movement of equipment and supplies.
  • Stay informed about product knowledge and equipment operational requirements.
  • Promote and sell spa services.
  • Assist with tours for external stakeholders.
  • Address and resolve complaints from guests, faculty, and students.
  • Monitor and manage spa inventory levels.
  • Assist with procurement of supplies.
  • Support spa reception duties.
  • Maintain the facility and equipment in optimal condition.
  • Ensure compliance with WHMIS labeling standards.
  • Track usage of spa and onsite program linens.
  • Record and process orders efficiently.
  • Assist with activities involving student employees.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a 2-year diploma in Esthetician Spa Management.
  • 1-2 years of relevant operational experience in a spa setting.
  • Current certifications in CPR, First Aid, and WHMIS.
  • Strong administrative and customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with WHMIS, Public Health standards, and Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations.
  • Experience with industry-standard equipment, facilities, and inventory management.
