About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Vancouver. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting our continued growth and achievement of our strategic objectives in the natural resource and renewable energy industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with clients, project managers, engineers, designers, and drafters to prepare deliverables to industry standards.
  • Establish client needs, prepare or review reports, estimates, specifications, quotations, and proposals.
  • Prepare and review design deliverables, perform calculations and studies, and work with designers and drafters to prepare drawings to industry standards.
  • Perform site inspections, testing, and commissioning at client sites, create project scope of services, budgets, and schedules, and plan and monitor work assignments and costs.
  • Communicate with clients on active and future projects, and ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards.
Requirements
  • Electrical Engineering or Technician Degree, or similar.
  • 12+ years of relevant experience.
  • Eligible to register with EGBC as a Professional Engineer, if applicable.
  • Experience with drafting software (2D and 3D), a valid driver's license, and experience preparing and reviewing technical documents.
  • Experience with design deliverables, project estimates, and familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
  • Practical knowledge of HV & MV substations, electrical equipment specifications, testing, and commissioning, and experience with projects in the mining, industrial, or utility sectors.
  • Ability to travel on short notice to customer sites and other BBA offices, and experience in troubleshooting, commissioning, and system installation.
What We Offer
  • Annual base salary, based on hours worked, between $124,000 to $170,000.
  • Annual bonus program for all regular employees.
