Job Title: Electrical Engineer III

Job Overview:
Actalent is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to become a vital part of our engineering team, focusing on the intricate design and development of electrical systems. This role is crucial for ensuring that all engineering tasks align with project timelines and budgetary constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will engage in detailed design and engineering of electrical systems, which includes:

  1. Executing cable installation projects
  2. Designing control panels
  3. Creating electrical schematics and designs
  4. Performing engineering calculations
  5. Reviewing designs from vendors

The engineer will also contribute to the analysis of data, specifying methods and processes required for the continuous improvement of manufacturing and materials processes. This includes ensuring that the final product meets established cost and quality standards.

In addition, the engineer will be responsible for designing engineering solutions, overseeing feasibility testing, and ensuring effective implementation to support the development and validation of these solutions.

Another key aspect of this role involves drafting engineering standards and specifications, as well as evaluating their effectiveness within the engineering discipline. This will inform engineering practices both within the organization and among its suppliers and contractors.

The engineer will conduct inspections to assess the quality of engineering work and the integrity of existing installations, specifying necessary remedial actions to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory standards.

Collaboration with suppliers and the supply chain is essential to gather, approve, and integrate technical and commercial information, supporting detailed design and adherence to project schedules. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field
  • 4-6 years of professional experience in Electrical Engineering or Design
  • Professional Engineer, Incorporated Engineer, or Engineer in Training designation from a recognized institution

Experience working within a diverse project team is highly valued. Strong communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude are essential for success in this role.
