Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist Student to join their team. As an Employed Student Respiratory Therapist, you will work under the direction of a Practice Lead, Educator, or Supervising Respiratory Therapist, providing direct Respiratory Therapy care to patients commensurate with your level of education and training.

Responsibilities

  • Operate in accordance with the unit/program philosophy, organizational principles, and Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) Standards for Respiratory practices.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care while maintaining a safe and respectful work environment.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Enrollment in an accredited and recognized Respiratory Therapy Program and currently completing a clinical placement.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to organize assigned workload and set priorities.
  • Ability to think critically and problem solve.
