Position Overview

The Prepared Foods Department Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the prepared foods section. This position involves managing team schedules, supervising staff, and ensuring the department maintains high standards of presentation and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervises and assigns tasks to team members in the prepared foods department.
  • Collaborates with the prepared foods trainer to develop and sustain a high-performing team.
  • Assists in onboarding new employees using established training materials.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of all display cases and shelves.
  • Follows established procedures for opening and closing the department.
  • Ensures all team members receive appropriate breaks during shifts.
  • Communicates any team concerns to leadership effectively.
  • Sets and upholds the highest standards of retail execution.
  • Encourages a positive and respectful team environment.
  • Monitors customer interactions and directs team members to enhance customer satisfaction.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Capable of standing or walking for 6-8 hours during a workday.
  • Requires manual dexterity for tasks such as grasping and fine manipulation.
  • Involves bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
  • Exposure to approved cleaning chemicals and varying temperatures.
  • Must be able to work in both wet and dry conditions.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to operate tools and equipment safely.
  • May require the use of ladders.
