We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Information and Early Resolution Officer to join our team at The Government of Nova Scotia. As a key member of our Labour Standards team, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely information to the public about our legislation and regulations.
Primary Accountabilities- Respond to a high volume of inquiries, ensuring clear and consistent information is provided about our legislation and complaint process.
- Process licence and registration applications in accordance with established guidelines.
- Administer self-audits to assess employers' compliance with the legislation.
- Perform data entry and other administrative functions in relation to the licensing and registration process.
- Facilitate early resolution of complaints, which involves discussing the complaint with the parties and exploring whether the matter can be resolved without an investigation.
You have a strong background in office administration and a minimum of five years of related experience. You possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear and concise manner. You are also proficient in Microsoft applications, including Excel and Outlook.
