Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Automotive Problem Resolution Specialist to join our team at Advance Auto Parts. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and resolving automotive problems for our DIY customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide best-in-class customer service and resolve DIY issues efficiently
  • Offer a positive selling experience for all DIY customers, including walk-in, online orders, and phone interactions
  • Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives
  • Manage DIY services, including testing and troubleshooting
  • Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Assist with store inventory processes, including POGs, truck put away, and cycle counts
  • Back up Professional Services as needed
  • Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, and facing

Success Factors

  • Friendly communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to locate and stock parts efficiently
  • Safety knowledge and skills
  • Basic knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic abilities
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include frequent walking and standing, as well as occasional lifting and moving of up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

This role is typically performed inside, with occasional exposure to outside weather conditions and moving mechanical parts.
