Job Summary:
A.S.P. Incorporated is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aviation Security Supervisor to join our team at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our airport and its passengers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide efficient supervision and support to assigned locations, ensuring that all security protocols are followed and implemented.
- Prepare and submit reports on incidents, complaints, and deficiencies that affect the delivery of service to our clients.
- Inspect all posts regularly and coordinate break relief functions for all assigned locations.
- Ensure that all security personnel are dressed in appropriate uniform and equipped to perform their designated functions safely and efficiently.
- Compile and submit Daily Summary Reports from security personnel for review.
- Inspect all posts regularly and test site staff on their knowledge of Post Orders and General Orders.
- Maintain effective control of all issued equipment.
- Communicate instructions from Head Office to all security staff.
- Train new security and traffic control staff on-site and share their performance with the Operations Manager.
- Make recommendations for improvement to increase the effectiveness of service delivery to our clients.
- Perform emergency response duties as per the Emergency Response Manual.
- Direct the day-to-day operations of the security team.
- Act as the point of contact for security personnel during emergency operations.
- Monitor, evaluate, and coach employees performing their regular duties.
- Ensure that Security Occurrence Reports are written by security guards for incidents that happen at the airport, review these reports for completeness and accuracy, and provide them to the AOCC within 24 hours for inclusion in PortsToronto's Records Management System.
- Carry and operate portable radios to communicate with the Airport Operations Communication Center Guards.
Requirements:
- Minimum High School diploma or Grade 12 education.
- Minimum of two (2) years of employment with A.S.P. incorporated or four (4) years of security supervisory related experience.
- Eligible to work in Canada.
- Ability to obtain an AVOP (Airside Vehicle Operating Permit) is mandatory.
- Ability to obtain a RAIC (Restricted Access Identification Card) is mandatory.
- Comprehensive knowledge of common security policies and various related Acts, Codes, and legislation, including the Criminal Code, the PSISA, the Trespass to Property Act, the Fire Code, AODA, and WHMIS.
- Must possess a valid security license, Driver's License (G or higher) with a clean driving abstract, Standard First Aid & CPR certification, and willing to provide Criminal Record check upon request.
- Excellent written & verbal communication, and active listening skills.
- Able to work on nights, weekends, weekdays, and holidays.
