Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing maintenance workforce, ensuring they achieve targets and comply with organizational standards.
- Formulate and execute shift schedules while managing labor resources to maintain optimal staffing levels. Direct the maintenance team in planning, preventive upkeep, and repairs of all production machinery, alongside building maintenance.
- Foster and uphold a secure working environment through adherence to company policies and the Health and Safety Program.
- Create and sustain a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) program/schedule, ensuring comprehensive predictive and preventive maintenance is performed to maximize operational efficiency.
- Organize both internal and external tasks to optimize planned downtime and minimize unexpected outages.
- Collaborate with external contractors, ensuring work is executed safely and complies with all relevant manufacturing codes, regulations, and standards.
- Ensure routine calibration and maintenance of various electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems are conducted.
- Assist senior management in establishing and executing operational and capital budgets; ensure maintenance activities remain within budgetary constraints.
- Manage the introduction of new machinery, plant, and equipment from specification drafting to supplier management and full installation in cooperation with all relevant stakeholders.
- Oversee the disposal process of outdated machinery, plant, and equipment, from obtaining approval for write-off to the safe and lawful removal and disposal.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective solutions to ensure continuous production.
- Perform risk assessments for processes and tasks within the department.
- Develop, implement, and manage work associated with key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility.
- Maintain precise records of maintenance activities and machinery performance.
- Collaborate as part of the operations team to share insights and enhance efficiencies, recommend, support, and implement continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements to optimize outcomes and improve delivery quality.
- Engage and negotiate with key stakeholders to facilitate the execution and compliance with the maintenance strategy.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant degree in manufacturing or engineering. MMP certification is preferred.
- At least five years of experience in plant or facility maintenance, with a minimum of two years in a leadership role.
- Extensive experience at the plant level with proven people management skills.
- Completed a fully accredited apprenticeship in a mechanical, electrical, or electronic discipline.
- Strong technical capability and understanding.
- Familiarity with OHSA standards related to industrial and construction operations.
- Experience with PLC controls, PCs, PM, and TPM systems.
- Experience managing Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities for maintenance operations.
- Understanding of manufacturing and procurement/supply chain processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
