Job Summary

OPTIMA TRUCKING is seeking a skilled Gravel Truck Driver to join our team. As a Gravel Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting gravel and aggregate materials to various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Vehicles: Safely operate and maintain a variety of heavy-duty trucks, including dump trucks, to transport gravel and aggregate materials.
  • Load and Unload Cargo: Load and unload gravel and aggregate materials at various locations, ensuring accurate and efficient delivery.
  • Inspect Vehicles: Regularly inspect vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition, performing routine maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Communicate with Dispatch: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Air Brakes Endorsement, Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles).
  • Physical Demands: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Dusty, at heights, noisy.
  • Work Setting: Various locations, willing to relocate.
