Job Title: Director, Business Planning and Reporting

Odgers Berndtson is partnering with Ontario Power Generation (OPG) to find a seasoned financial professional to fill the role of Director, Business Planning and Reporting. This high-impact position will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of a leading energy provider.

Job Summary

The Director, Business Planning and Reporting will support the Vice President, Business Planning and Reporting in overseeing financial expenditures, preparing consolidated budgets, and conducting comprehensive economic studies. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence OPG's strategic initiatives and investment proposals, providing critical financial analysis and insights to the CFO and President.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement corporate financial initiatives to drive continuous improvement in planning processes.
  2. Lead the development of integrated corporate-wide business planning and performance management processes.
  3. Provide strategic financial insights to senior executives and possess a keen ability to benchmark and assess business performance.
  4. Coordinate across organizational units and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient planning, performance reporting, and strategic decision-making.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned financial professional with a robust background in economic studies, budgeting, and financial analysis. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration (or a related field) is required, with professional certification such as CPA, CA, or Master's degree or MBA preferred.
