Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
  • Perform routine inspections of buildings and equipment to identify potential issues and implement preventative measures.
  • Manage and coordinate maintenance and repair work with external contractors and vendors.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and budgets to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Provide excellent customer service to tenants, responding to their maintenance requests and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of facilities-related activities.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as facilities management or a trade.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a government or public sector setting.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and problem-solving.
