The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in application and infrastructure elements while emphasizing security.
As Enercare embarks on a significant technological evolution, the successful applicant will be instrumental in evaluating current platforms, designing future initiatives, and executing transition strategies to migrate to resilient cloud infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Duties
- Comprehending the interplay between infrastructure systems, applications, and organizational requirements.
- Delivering 2nd and 3rd level support, performing root cause analysis, and collaborating with various functional teams.
- Working alongside application teams to ensure service level agreement (SLA) standards are achieved and providing proactive problem-solving.
- Implementing automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Setting up, configuring, and maintaining data center hardware and software across multiple locations.
- Offering technical guidance and support to team members and managed service providers.
- Conducting audits of hardware and software for compliance purposes.
Future Initiatives
- Engaging in cloud infrastructure expansion with a cross-functional team.
- Collaborating with project teams to evaluate technology needs for critical systems.
- Researching and deploying cost-effective technological solutions.
- Driving the provision of scalable and secure infrastructure resources.
- Assisting in the planning of upgrades for systems nearing the end of their lifecycle.
- Implementing cloud backup strategies and an alerting framework for cloud components.
- Creating technical documentation and processes for all implementations and modifications.
- Encouraging the adoption of an Infrastructure-as-Code approach to cloud management.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in Computer Science.
- 5+ years of experience in Cloud and On-Premises Infrastructure platforms.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead projects effectively.
- A collaborative team player with a readiness to explore new technologies and adapt to change.
- Knowledge of computer and enterprise security principles.
- Experience with Nutanix hardware is advantageous.
