About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Technician to join our team at SUPER 8. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of our buildings, including making adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Supervise and assist other workers as needed to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Conduct safety and security checks to identify and address potential hazards and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Perform minor repairs on appliances and other equipment to prevent downtime and maintain efficiency.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies as required to support the operation of our facilities.
  • Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair to maintain the appearance and integrity of our buildings.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills to effectively interact with colleagues and guests.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment.
