About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Worker to join our Facilities Team at SUPER 8. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, performing routine maintenance tasks, and providing exceptional service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including adjustments and repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Appliance Repair: Perform minor repairs on appliances and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Safety and Security: Conduct regular safety and security checks to ensure the well-being of our guests and staff.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the work of other maintenance staff to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Heavy Lifting: Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed to maintain our facilities.
  • Routine Maintenance: Perform other routine maintenance tasks, such as painting and drywall repair, to maintain the appearance and functionality of our facilities.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field or equivalent experience.
Working Conditions
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 35 hours per week.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
