Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our team at Techvest Global. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for providing second-level support to numerous queries or incidents by performing root-cause analysis and providing solutions that first-level support members may not be able to handle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Analytical Support: Investigate and remediate complex system, configuration, and data problems surrounding the SimCorp Dimension application, including coordinating with SimCorp vendor for difficult issues.
  • Provide Technical Services: Provide analytical, consultative, and technical services to support operational and maintenance of business processes and workflows for SimCorp Dimension and downstream processes.
  • Monitor and Maintain Integrations: Monitor and maintain integrations between the accounting system and all downstream processes.
  • Identify and Communicate Risks: Identify and communicate potential risks and possible solutions to ad hoc and ongoing projects.
  • Identify Areas of Improvement: Identify and seek areas of improvement and automation for repeatable tasks and processes.
  • Maintain Service Level Agreements: Responsible for maintaining Service Level Agreements for SimCorp Dimension daily operations.
  • Design and Configure Applications: Design, configure, integrate, and maintain applications and systems.
  • Support Training and Orientation: Supports training and orientating new or entry-level employees.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in the Canadian or US Pension industry or investment management.
  • Technical Skills: Minimum 3 years of experience in working with SimCorp Dimension modules, including Filter Toolbox, Data Extractor, Batch Job Groups, Services, and portfolio calculation window.
  • Assets: Experience with other modules like Communication Server, Corporate Action Manager, SWIFT, is considered an asset. Experience with SimCorp Dimension Upgrade is also considered an asset.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of various financial instrument life cycle events is considered an asset. Knowledge of Charles River, Eagle, Calypso, and integration platforms is also an asset.
  • Soft Skills: Embraces a variety of opinions and is comfortable with professional debate. Demonstrates a high degree of accountability and encourages others to do the same. Adept at managing multiple, concurrent deadlines and shifting priorities.

Working Conditions:

Flexibility in providing on-call, after-hours, and overnight escalation calls is required.
