Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary leader to join our team as Associate Director, Digital and Online Learning. This is a key role that will play a critical part in shaping the future of digital learning at the University of Waterloo.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of digital learning strategies that align with the University's goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of online courses and programs, ensuring high-quality learning experiences for students.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify and address gaps in digital learning offerings, and develop innovative solutions to meet their needs.
  • Manage a team of professionals responsible for the development and maintenance of digital learning platforms and tools.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in digital learning, and apply this knowledge to inform strategic decisions and drive innovation.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in education, educational technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, with a proven track record of success in digital learning and education.
  • Expertise in instructional design, adult learning theory, and educational technology.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with faculty, staff, and students.
