Position Overview

As a Claims Processing Specialist, you will play a vital role in the success of SIRVA by managing the processing and verification of claims, advances, and supplier invoices for our clients. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire claims lifecycle, from receipt to resolution, ensuring compliance with all policies, guidelines, and quality standards as outlined in our service level agreements.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage expense claims in accordance with relocation policies, ensuring thorough verification and reconciliation of expenses.
  2. Analyze claims, advances, and supplier invoices to confirm eligibility and compliance with filing requirements, making informed determinations.
  3. Process various claim types by identifying and rectifying errors generated by the system.
  4. Ensure accurate and timely completion of invoice verification tasks.
  5. Communicate effectively with individuals in diverse situations to maintain a positive corporate image.
  6. Respond promptly to urgent requests, ensuring timely handling of all inquiries.
  7. Identify opportunities for improvement and utilize your expertise to suggest enhancements.
  8. Demonstrate strong analytical skills and effective time management.
  9. Understand the client's relocation budget in line with the Relocation Policy and standard operating procedures.
  10. Provide guidance and information to clients and service providers to ensure seamless coordination and execution of tasks.
  11. Assist the General Inquiries team with various communications from CAF Members, including chats, emails, and phone calls.
  12. Perform administrative tasks to support the Contact Centre operations.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of relocation, residential real estate, mortgages, legal, or banking is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • 1-2 years of experience in processing client claims.
  • Prior experience in a customer support role within a contact center environment.
  • Self-motivated professional with the ability to take on additional responsibilities and work flexible hours as needed.
  • Team-oriented individual capable of working independently in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Capability to plan and manage work effectively under time constraints.
  • Bilingualism is preferred.
