Key Responsibilities

  • Verify the accuracy of forms and ensure they are properly set up
  • Direct the placement of concrete into forms and surfaces, ensuring a smooth and even finish
  • Operate power vibrators to compact and smooth out the concrete
  • Utilize hand and power finishing tools to achieve a high-quality finish
  • Apply sealing components to cure surfaces and protect the concrete
  • Conduct Field Level Risk Assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure a safe working environment
  • Dismantle forms after pouring concrete to prepare for the next stage of construction

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in concrete finishing, preferably with a focus on sidewalks and curbs
  • Experience working in a construction environment, with a strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a concrete finisher
  • Leadership experience, with a proven track record of successfully leading teams
