About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at K Sidhu Contracting Ltd. as a Construction Helper. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting our construction team with various tasks, including loading and unloading materials, erecting scaffolding, and mixing and pouring concrete.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading Materials: Assist in loading and unloading construction materials, such as lumber, tools, and equipment, from trucks and storage areas.
  • Erecting Scaffolding: Assist in setting up and dismantling scaffolding, ramps, and other temporary structures on construction sites.
  • Mixing and Pouring Concrete: Assist in mixing and pouring concrete, as well as spreading and finishing concrete surfaces.
  • Assisting with Framing: Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Leveling Earth: Assist in leveling earth to fine grade specifications.
  • Cleaning and Piling Materials: Clean and pile salvaged materials, and clean up chemical spills and other contaminants.
  • Removing Debris: Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.
  • Tending Equipment: Assist in tending or feeding machines or equipment used in construction.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Work Environment: Outdoors, at heights, and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work Setting: Various locations.
  • Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, handling heavy loads, and repetitive tasks.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
