We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technical Assistant to join our team at PortageRx Pharmacy. As a Pharmacy Technical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists with various tasks, including preparing medications for clients and maintaining equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
  • Help with scheduling and workflow, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
  • Perform general clerical duties, including data entry and record-keeping.
  • Prepare and maintain cleanliness of collection areas, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and ordering of supplies.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring timely and efficient service to clients.
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks, with a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
Work Environment

Our pharmacy operates in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of physical activity and repetitive tasks. You must be able to work under pressure and maintain a high level of productivity in a dynamic setting.

Language and Work Conditions

The primary language of work is English, with a 35-hour workweek. We are committed to creating a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers and offer cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees.
