Personal Support Worker

At RhynoCare, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide skilled care for all activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, in accordance with corporate policy and established standards.
- Assist registered staff in nursing diagnostic and therapeutic measures, ensuring a holistic approach to resident care.
- Complete all documentation on time, accurately, and in accordance with corporate policies, ensuring that it is current and up-to-date.
- Ensure a quality approach to resident care, consistent with RhynoCare's Mission, Vision, Values, and the Resident Bill of Rights.
- Provide assistance and support with resident meal service and restorative nursing.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Proficient verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to speak a second language is considered an asset.
- Must meet one of the following criteria: successful completion of a Ministry of Education approved PSW Training Program (minimum 640 hours) or RN, RPN, Paramedic, Occupational Therapy, and Physiotherapy students with successful completion of Year 1.
- Experience working as a Facility PSW is considered an asset.
- Negative T.B. skin test or chest x-ray.
- Current CPR (BCLS) and First Aid Certificate.
- Meet health surveillance requirements of the Public Hospitals Act.
- VSS within the past year of hire confirming absence of a criminal history/record.
