Position Overview
The Anesthesia Team at Emory Healthcare is actively seeking skilled professionals to join our ranks as Certified Nurse Anesthetists (CNA) or Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants (CAA) on a flexible, as-needed basis.
Compensation Structure
Hourly Rate: $200 per hour.
Additional monthly bonus potential available with a minimum commitment of 8 shifts, each lasting 8 hours.
Eligible participants may access Emory Healthcare's High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) and the 403(b) Retirement Plan, subject to specific conditions.
Our team members, including CAAs, CNAs, and MDs, work collaboratively within the Anesthesia Care Team framework to ensure optimal quality and safety for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and document patients' physiological and pharmacological conditions.
- Support the Anesthesiologist in collecting routine pre-operative information.
- Participate in research initiatives led by an Anesthesiologist.
Monitor patients comprehensively before, during, and after anesthesia or in critical care scenarios, utilizing:
- ECG
- Direct arterial pressure
- Central venous pressure
- Arterial blood gas analysis
- Hematocrit levels
- Routine checks of temperature, respiration, blood pressure, and heart rate.
Additional monitoring techniques may be developed for anesthesia and intensive care applications. Candidates must possess a Master's Degree from an accredited Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) program.
Licensure or eligibility to practice in Georgia is required.
Maintaining biannual certification through Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits is essential.
