We are seeking dedicated and customer-oriented individuals to join our team as a Reliability Maintenance Engineering Manager. This role serves as the primary engineering authority within a facility, leading a team to foster a culture of safety and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements to maintain a secure working environment for all personnel. The manager will also be responsible for delivering optimal equipment availability to the General Manager and collaborating with the EU Engineering team to strategize for future expansion. Participation in network-wide enhancement initiatives and the implementation of established standards from across the network is also expected.
Key Responsibilities- Guide the team, oversee annual reporting duties, and mentor direct reports.
- Collaborate with the site Safety department and Site Leadership to implement, document, and audit safety and compliance programs, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees. Assume legal responsibilities as the site engineering leader within this framework.
- Partner with the recruitment team to ensure that the allocated headcount is filled with qualified and experienced personnel, which may include support for Apprentice and Graduate programs.
- Execute standards validated by the AU Engineering team and engage in continuous improvement initiatives to create or update standards as necessary, focusing on high levels of safety and equipment availability for our internal customers, with a significant emphasis on preventative maintenance programs.
- Develop and maintain contingency plans for equipment failures, coordinate drills with relevant parties, and be prepared to work flexibly to ensure that failures or breakdowns are resolved promptly.
- Maintain a long-term perspective by collaborating with Site Management, Finance, the AU Engineering team, and internal design teams to plan for future growth, upgrades, or the rollout of new equipment.
- Proven experience in leading engineering teams.
- Experience in employee and performance management.
- Background in distribution or manufacturing, with equivalent mechanical or electrical field experience.
- Experience in facilities management, corporate administrative services, or hospitality management.
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience, along with 2+ years of experience at Amazon.
While preferred qualifications are not mandatory for application, candidates who meet the basic qualifications are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in the design review process to integrate electrical, mechanical, and automation control solutions aimed at enhancing equipment reliability and standards.
- Familiarity with automated conveyor systems and controls, electrical and electronic principles, blueprint and electrical schematic interpretation, CMMS programs, preventive maintenance procedures, and industrial electrical and controls.
