About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Downtown Squamish Pub Ltd. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for leading our culinary team and ensuring that our menu offerings are of the highest quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation

Develop and implement new menu ideas and specials, taking into account seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.

Culinary Leadership

Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers, to ensure that they are meeting our high standards for food quality and presentation.

Inventory Management

Manage inventory levels of ingredients, supplies, and equipment to minimize waste and optimize efficiency.

Food Safety and Quality Control

Ensure that all food is prepared and served in a safe and sanitary environment, and that our high standards for quality and presentation are consistently met.

Customer Service

Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring that all menu items are prepared to order and that customers are satisfied with their dining experience.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role

Skills

Excellent culinary skills, including cooking, plating, and presentation

Physical Demands

Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy loads, and perform repetitive tasks

Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and will be expected to maintain a high level of energy and productivity throughout their shift.
