Scotiabank, a prominent financial institution in the Americas, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Client Relationship Associate to enhance our Client Services & Trade Centre.

In this role, you will report directly to the Manager of Client Services & Trade Centre. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients in reaching their financial aspirations by understanding their personal and professional goals. You will recommend tailored Scotiabank products that meet their specific requirements while providing exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare for client interactions, document notes in our CRM system, and identify new business prospects through proactive engagement with your client portfolio.

You will also be responsible for collecting and entering financial information derived from client discussions.

Additional Duties Include:

  • Leading the acquisition of necessary Know Your Client (KYC) information for both new and existing accounts, ensuring that all transactions align with client objectives.
  • Maintaining IIROC licensing as a Registered Representative (IIROC-RR), which includes completing the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), the Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH), and undergoing a 90-day training program.
  • Obtaining a Life License (LLQP) and demonstrating a commitment to fulfilling other regulatory obligations.

Demonstrated knowledge of investment products is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in both of Canada’s official languages is advantageous.

A strong desire to expand your knowledge in areas such as taxation, investment trends, and products that may influence your client base is essential.

Compliance Awareness:

  • A solid understanding of MDFM internal trading policies, stock exchange regulations, industry standards, and Scotiabank's commitment to ethical practices is crucial.
  • A high level of comfort with technology to facilitate virtual meetings and manage client relationships using CRM software.
  • Marketing acumen to identify opportunities for enhancing products and services.
