Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to lead our Derivative Hedge Qualifications team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exciting system enhancements and upgrades, working closely with IT support and other teams to ensure seamless integration and minimal impact on hedge qualification and P&L volatility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bridge multiple parties, including business partners, control functions, technology partners, and Derivative Hedge Qualification, to deliver system enhancements and upgrades.
  • Work closely with IT support for Hedge Accounting & Qualification System (HAQS) and other IT teams to ensure proposed changes do not have an adverse impact on hedge qualification and P&L volatility.
  • Ensure all system changes are fully tested and implemented properly, with minimal impact on existing functionality.
  • Lead direct reports to work with team members on JIRAs for HAQS issue fixing, functional enhancements, and upgrades.
  • Coordinate various initiatives and projects from a system perspective, including HAQS adaptation due to enhancement or changes from upstream or downstream systems.
  • Coordinate smart automation, including EUC automation and system-related controls such as access control.
  • Manage direct reports by establishing performance objectives, defining roles and expectations, measuring and providing timely feedback.
Requirements
  • Motivating, coaching, curious, analytical, and collaborative problem-solving, time-management, and communication skills.
  • Proactive and creative, with strong ability to plan and manage competing priorities.
  • Detailed-oriented with proven ability to analyze and document complex systems.
  • Solid knowledge of hedge accounting, finance, and financial products, including various derivatives.
  • Post-secondary degree in Finance/Accounting/Business/Computer Science with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of the Bank's operations, procedures, HAQS, PEAK, JIRA, PeopleSoft EGL, OBI, Excel, and PowerPoint.
